I’ve heard this ONE Before

I’m not being difficult… I have witnessed people learning part of this book just to prophet their hate. They are telling you about some obligations; what you should do and not do. They have said don’t steal; they’re stealing your rights away. They have said keep your legs closed; while they’re creeping around with their neighbor’s wives or husbands. They have said don’t do no harm; they’re beating on strangers just because they have no connection to them. They will pick your life apart; while they’re dying inside with their own secrets. I guess they have lost the purpose of those words that are crawling out of their mouths. Which is supposed to be love and humbleness; what happened to that? So stop addressing something that means that little to you? Please, I already heard the speech we’re not perfect; I’ve accepted that.  I guess all you need to do is return the favor; than we all will be just fine.

Bonus Post (Part. 4): The Special Thanks to my Readers

Hello everyone out there. 🙂

I want to tell you I am so grateful for you who read this blog. I want to share what I have seen, felt, and sensed around me. I guess this is my philosophy. The fact there is people out there that take the time to read this; who like it and comment on it. It’s a great way knowing I’m not writing for myself. I know sometimes things I’ve said don’t make any sense and sometimes some of you don’t agree with my point of view. I feel as people we all should have our own opinions, but still respect others for having theirs.

I can’t believe it has been two years of writing this blog. Somehow it feels like yesterday when my teacher Shana told me I should start a blog. She knew I had a voice from the inside that wanted to be heard. Maybe she envisioned there are so many doors this blog could open. She was half right! I get to connect with people around the world without walking out of my house. Mainly, I know she felt writing something down might keep me going and not giving up on my dreams of being a storyteller. I know we all have a story to tell but there are a lot people out there that aren’t willing to listen. I rest pretty well at night knowing I have something to look forward to; something that has my name on it; something that has inspired some people just a little bit.

Thanks and happy two-year anniversary to John SterVens Tales>> I know I’ll keep on telling my story until someone big notices that I was here all along. To prove to Miss Shana my blog has opened many doors that have been closed but now are opened.  Here to another year of telling my philosophy!!!

The MAN with the EGO

Today is one of those days when the dark one takes over. I can feel the heat from inside; but I can also feel the cold breeze heading my way to kill this fire. I should quit now; this is pointless writing for me. People won’t appreciate what I attended to create. It will all be for nothing; so a great friend told me. You won’t benefit from doing this. If you do become famous; it will be long after you’re gone and someone will discover your writing by accident. The same writing people might define as a work of a genius, but somehow your generation didn’t acknowledge. My writing is my Life; My Thought, My Vision, My Ego, My Present, My Past, My Secret, and My Gift to generations after me. Nope, these words aren’t for nothing. It will be my legacy that will be passed on long after my bones become dust in the ground. So this man will be a part of history even to just one person. I’m content with that…

John’s Tell It, My Word on the Music Scene (Part.I): My First Two Albums

The first two albums I bought were backstreet boys; Never Gone and Keyshia Cole; The Way It Is. Each record gave me an old feeling of my younger days when everything was simpler. My favor track from Miss Cole’s album is “I Changed My Mind” and my favor track from BSB’s album is “Incomplete”.

The Album debut at #3 on the U.S Billboard 200 and the single incomplete debut at #13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100

Another Broken Record

Something about the past felt like another tale we told to keep ourselves entertained. The line we had been told not to cross. The lesson that had been passed down from generations to another; but we decide to burn those pages. The history that meant to make us better people; still we come short to adjust the importance of those that fight to pave the way for us. The blood that had been spilled to make sure the future generation doesn’t do the same dance. I sometimes can hear the voice of those ghosts screaming because they’re saddened with the sacrifices they made. I guess sometimes it takes a hero to put their faith in the unknown; after all they’re disappointed with the results. They didn’t question what will be of the history they were writing or what it would become. Will it be depreciated because we’re not comprehensive of the strength it took to make it possible! Are those ghosts’ better people than you and me? Or maybe, just maybe they were just sick of the same song they decided to change the track.

What does that say about you when you decide to go along with the moment? Allowing the same song to play, even though you know the hidden message!

John’s Tell It, My Word on the TV Scene (Part. II); Lucky 7

The first cancellation this season is Lucky 7, after two episodes ABC decided to give this show the ax… Which I think it was a poor choice on their part picking this show since they have other original shows that would have done better. Yes the premise was good, but I think other writers tried to write this ideal about a group of people that win the lottery and how it has changed their lives (windfall). I think this show should be a mini-series, a story to tell in three episodes, the most should be four. Trying to expand something like this to thirteen episodes even twenty-two, it was a recipe for disaster. Yes I am one of the people that didn’t give this show a chance. There are so many original shows, even spin-offs I would rather watch. Maybe they should have named this show Lucky 2!!! This is John’s Tell It!!!

Famous Quotes Vol.II

“You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough.” — Frank Crane

“Fame will go by and, so long, I’ve had you, fame. If it goes by, I’ve always known it was fickle. So at least it’s something I experience, but that’s not where I live.” — Marilyn Monroe

I believe humanity was born from conflict. Maybe that’s why in all of us lives a dark side. Some of us embrace it. Some have no choice. The rest of us fight it. In the end, it’s as natural as the air we breathe. At some point, we’re forced to face the truth. Ourselves. — Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds

“I’ve always heard every ending is also a beginning. We Just don’t know it at the time. I’d like to believe that’s true.” Emily Prentiss from Criminal Minds

Goodbye Summer… Hello Fall…

Everything in life is a domino effect…

We might not read between the lines, maybe we should.

There is no special being that’s moving things in our lives to get us our ways.

If you want to be a lawyer, you better get ready to pass the bar exam.

If you want to become a doctor, you better get ready to never put down those books that will change someone’s life forever.

So the luck that comes your way is yours to create.

So don’t hate at the person that’s on the top.

If you work hard enough and don’t listen to those who are telling you can’t, you might end up being in the same spot.

I know there are road blocks; however those challenges are supposed to make you work even harder.

What is life without a battlefield to make your testimony?

Someone else’s failure should be your inspiration.

Someone else’s inspiration should also be your hammer to break through those walls that block your path for greatness.

Life is full with hellos and goodbyes, so when I say goodbye summer you need to say hello fall.
